Outfits I'd Wear to Grand National Tour If I Had A Chance to Attend It

Even though there have been many negative critiques, we witnessed a Super Bowl performance that hundreds of thousands of others and I agree was legendary. Our main artist was K-Dot, aka Kendrick Lamar, one of my favorites, but he also brought SZA along, and together, they created an unforgettable night—not just for America but for the entire world. While everyone focused on the diss part, this performance carried historically significant messages for Black people and criticized modern America, making a lasting impact that I’m sure will be felt for a long time.
My focus on this duo isn’t just because of the Super Bowl—I’ve been listening to and following both artists for years. One of my biggest dreams is to see them live, but I sadly realize that won’t be possible anytime soon. To make things even worse, as you might have guessed from the title, they are actually going on a joint tour: the Grand National Tour.
I watched Kendrick’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers Tour: Paris video on Amazon Prime and was mesmerized by every second of it. That’s why missing this tour is devastating for me, even more than you might think. :') But here’s a fun fact to lighten the mood: While I never got close to Kendrick, I did get a little closer to SZA—at least on social media. Back when my Instagram account Fashion.Wonderer was active, she liked a few of my posts, and one day, she even browsed my profile and liked a video where I actually appeared. Unfortunately, since my account is now closed, these moments exist only as screenshots… So I hope that even if I don’t get to see their joint concert, I can at least attend their solo concerts in the future.
Anyway, now you know what inspired this post. While putting together these outfits, I drew inspiration from the Not Like Us music video, Kendrick’s overall style (his hats and loafers), SZA’s SOS era (from the album cover to her jerseys), and even the styles of my favorite influencers, Ines Silva and Sofia Coelho. That being said, I’ll now leave you with five different outfits that I would wear to five shows—if I were lucky enough to attend the Grand National Tour in an alternate universe:
